Luna Acid base
ACID-FREE BASE — An acid-free base coat for a flawless and safe manicure
This is an innovative, elastic base coat with a medium consistency, developed specifically for thin, sensitive, and damaged nails. Thanks to the complete absence of acids in its formulation, it provides the gentlest possible care without causing thermal burns or irritation.
Important: The base shrinks when applied in a thick layer, so it is recommended for short nails. Do not use in combination with hard gels.
Features:
• Suitable for clients with acid allergies.
• Safe for use on damaged nails.
• Easily removed by filing or with a remover.
• Can be used as a base under camouflage bases and gel polishes.
• Shrinks when applied in a thick layer.
• Does not cause a burning sensation under the lamp.
• Ideal for self-leveling on short nails.
• Has a medium consistency and self-levels well.
• Acid-free formula.
• Suitable for pedicures.
• The coating lasts up to 3 weeks.
• Recommended lamp wattage: 36–48 W (use only original lamps).
Application method:
1. Removal.
2. Do not file the nail shape, or leave 2 mm in length, which will be removed after leveling.
3. Using a 220-grit file, gently file the top of the nail without applying too much pressure to lift the nail plate’s scales, or use a 100-grit buff.
4. Perform the manicure.
5. If using removers, wash your hands with soap after handling them.
6. Degrease the nail using LUNAmoon Nail Prep. Perform this in two steps. Use 4 wipes for this (1 wipe per 5 fingers). First step: wipe the surface of the nail. Second pass: Take an orange stick, wrap a wipe around it, and wipe the entire cuticle area and nail grooves.
7. Apply LUNAmoon Ultrabond (optional). Before applying, it’s important to wipe the brush on a lint-free wipe to remove any excess product. Using a semi-dry brush, apply LUNAmoon Ultrabond to all 5 fingers. Wait 1 minute for the Ultrabond LUNAmoon to be absorbed into the nail plate.
8. The Acid Free Base LUNAmoon is best applied with a flat gel brush. Use a rubbing motion. Fill in all the nail grooves and cure under the lamp for 60 seconds.
9. We recommend not removing the tacky layer from the base coat, as it helps it chemically bond with the subsequent layers (gel, color, base coat). Removing the tacky layer weakens the chemical adhesion and increases the risk of lifting.
10. Smooth the surface using LUNAmoon Acid-Free Base. Cure under the lamp for 90 seconds.
11. File the shape after smoothing. This is necessary to create thickness at the edge of the nail that will support the free edge.
12. If the nail was thin, it may curl, so be sure to file away 1 mm of the natural nail from the inside. This will prevent the material from peeling off. If the material is hard and the nail is very soft, the nail itself will begin to separate from the hard material at the free edge.
13. After filing, remove the tacky layer and apply a thin coat of gel polish or a camouflaging base coat.
