If leveling with gel, leave a 0.5–1 mm margin from the cuticle. Cure under the lamp for 60 seconds.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e11. File the shape after leveling. This is necessary to create thickness at the edge of the nail that will support the free edge.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e12. If the nail was thin, it may curl, so be sure to file off 1 mm of the natural nail from the inside. This will prevent the material from peeling off. If the material is hard and the nail is very soft, the nail itself will begin to separate from the hard material at the free edge.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e13. After filing, remove the tacky layer and apply gel polish.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e14. Apply a top coat. Cure for 120 seconds.
